CSC readies government job fair Sept. 2 to 6
As part of its 124th anniversary celebration, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) is welcoming job seekers who want to be in public service in a bid to boost the government workforce at the local and national level.
A nationwide job fair, which will be held from Sept. 2 to Sept. 6 as part of the government’s celebration of Civil Service Month, will feature vacancies in national and local governments, state universities and colleges, as well as government-owned and -controlled corporations.
“We are opening doors to a new batch of dedicated individuals who are eager to serve the public, ensuring that we continue to attract passionate talent committed to making a positive impact in our communities and upholding the values of good governance,” CSC Chair Karlo Nograles said in a statement.
He urged people with disabilities, members of indigenous peoples’ groups and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community to look for jobs in government.
The simultaneous five-day job fair in various parts of the country will be held in malls and civic centers to make it more accessible to job seekers, the CSC said.
“This year’s job fair will take place during the first week of the PCSA celebration dubbed as Linggo ng Lingkod Bayani, highlighting the vital contributions of an effective civil service to national development. We eagerly anticipate the participation of government offices and the public as we work together to strengthen our civil service,” he added.
