Dog found on MRT 3 track back with fur parents

Mary Joy Salcedo

The dog that was caught in a viral video walking on the tracks of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT 3) has finally been returned to his family in Taguig City, after he went missing on New Year’s Eve, the MRT 3 management said in a Facebook post on Thursday.

The canine, who was not named, was first spotted on Jan. 22 after jumping the tracks on Guadalupe Station and causing a delay in operations.

Coast Guard personnel finally caught him and turned him over to the Biyaya Animal Care clinic since he appeared to be injured.

The MRT 3 said the Biyaya Animal Care received a message from the canine’s family, who said they have not stopped looking for him since Dec. 31.

It also thanked the veterinarian clinic for reuniting the dog with his family.
