DOTr relocates 38 families affected by railway project

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Wednesday said that a total of 38 families displaced by the North-South Commuter Railway Extension Project have been relocated to their new houses in San Pedro, Laguna.

It added that the 38 families were the first batch of transferees at Sining Residences I in Barangay Bagong Silang.

Five more residential buildings are being constructed at the relocation site, which are expected to be finished by June.

The DOTr said 240 more families will be able to move in by then.

A total of 11 buildings with 528 residential buildings is being planned at the relocation site, along with a school, a transport terminal and other facilities.
