The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok warned Filipinos against traveling to seven Thai border provinces as deadly clashes between Thailand and Cambodia entered their third day.
The embassy warned Filipinos against traveling to the provinces of Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat.
Filipinos residing in the affected areas were told to follow the instructions of Thai or Cambodian authorities.
“The Philippine Embassy in Thailand stands ready to assist all Filipinos in need and will continue to monitor the situation in Thailand.”
The fighting between Thailand and Cambodia broke out early Thursday near the disputed Ta Moan Thom Temple, which eventually spread to at least six areas along the Thai-Cambodian border.
Latest local reports said the death toll from both sides has already reached 32, with more than 130 injured, as of July 26.
