Finland’s employment minister Arto Satonen will visit the Philippines from Jan. 16 to Jan. 18 to explore opportunities for deeper cooperation and promote career prospects in Helsinki for Filipino talents in technology, industry and health care.

Satonen will be accompanied by a delegation of stakeholders from cities, businesses, educational institutions and labor market organizations, including Helsinki Mayor Juhana Vartiainen.

According to the Finnish Ministry of Trade and Labor, the growing demand for skilled employees has prompted more Finnish employers to seek professionals from abroad.

Finland is positioning itself as a reliable partner in international recruitment, offering a high quality of life and diverse career opportunities.

This year also marks a milestone as Finland and the Philippines celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations.

“Finland seeks to deepen partnerships between our countries by creating opportunities for businesses and international professionals to connect. Our focus is on ensuring ethical principles and efficient recruitment processes. We are dedicated to ensuring that employers and experts have favorable conditions for successful recruitment,” Satonen said.

The Finnish Cabinet official said Finland has a fair and sustainable labor market with many career opportunities, fast and smooth permit processing, work-life balance and a clean environment.

Growing numbers
