Fire hits storage facility within House compound

A contractor’s storage facility inside the House of Representatives compound caught fire on Sunday morning.

According to the Office of the House Secretary General, the fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. and was put out less than 30 minutes later with no casualties or injuries reported.

It added that an investigation was under way to determine the cause of the fire in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection.
