Avatar

Some 500 students and teachers of Esteban Abada Elementary School in Quezon City will be given free medical checkups and registered for free in the National Health Insurance Program under an agreement between the Department of Education (DepEd) and Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth).

The school is one of several beneficiaries of the partnership between the two agencies, according to Education Secretary Sonny Angara.

Under the program, public school students and teachers will have access to checkups, laboratory tests and other preventive health services under PhilHealth’s “Konsulta Package” program.
