The government will expand its projects with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to help end hunger in the Philippines by 2028.

During WFP executive director Cindy McCain’s courtesy call at Malacañang on Monday, President Marcos cited the UN organization’s efforts to address hunger and malnutrition in the country such as food and cash assistance, and feeding programs for schoolchildren, pregnant and nursing mothers, infants and toddlers.

“We’re expanding our partnership with WFP to end hunger and ensure every Filipino family enjoys nutritious food on their table,” Mr. Marcos said in a post on Instagram. —JULIE M. AURELIO
