Born in 1911, I am the Republic of China—known to my friends as Taiwan.

Today, my people live in freedom, elect their leaders, and uphold the rule of law. These values define me as a proud democracy and a responsible member of the global community.

On October 10, I celebrate more than a century of resilience, innovation, and vibrant culture. From world-leading semiconductor industries to a spirit of openness and creativity, I am helping to power a brighter future for the world.

Strengthening Ties with the Philippines

With my First Island Chain brother, the Philippines, I share Austronesian heritage and centuries of maritime friendship. Together, we are advancing the Taiwan–Philippines Economic Corridor and the Luzon Economic Corridor—linking ports, industries, and democratic supply chains for the benefit of our peoples.
