The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Monday turned over to the Department of Justice (DOJ) the documents and records related to its investigation of anomalous government infrastructure projects after its earlier announcement that it would cease operations on March 31.
ICI members, led by their chair, Andres Reyes Jr., went to the DOJ headquarters in Manila around 9:50 a.m.
Reyes did not face the media, but DOJ spokesperson Polo Martinez said that he provided a comprehensive report on the results of their monthslong investigation.
The ICI earlier made nine referrals covering 65 personalities to the Office of the Ombudsman, recommending them either for prosecution or further investigation.
