The Senate committee on women, children, family relations and gender equality conducted a public hearing on Monday, September 9, 2024, alongside the committees on migrant workers, and public order and dangerous drugs.
When the dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor appeared before the joint hearing, she insisted that she was not Guo Hua Ping, despite documentary evidence indicating otherwise, prompting senators to cite her in contempt for “testifying falsely and evasively before this committee.”
