Inquirer.net most visited news site in July

Inquirer.net emerged as the country’s most visited news website in July 2025, drawing over 9.6 million visits, according to the latest data from analytics firm Similarweb.
From July 1 to 31, Inquirer.net recorded 9.642 million visits from online users. This was followed by GMA Network with 8.456 million, ABS-CBN with 5.929 million, Philstar.com with 5.645 million, and Rappler with 3.960 million visits.
Organic search, or unpaid listings on search engines, accounted for 5.208 million visits to Inquirer.net during the period, while 2.204 million visits came from social media and 1.994 million were direct visits to the website.
Online traffic to Inquirer.net peaked during its coverage of the World Boxing Council welterweight championship match between Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and American boxer Mario Barrios.
The site also saw increased visits during its coverage of Severe Tropical Storm “Crising” (international name: Wipha), Tropical Storm “Dante” (Francisco) and Typhoon “Emong” (Co-may).
More visitors also clicked on Inquirer.net for its coverage of the fourth State of the Nation Address of President Marcos.
From Jan. 1 to July 31, Inquirer.net logged 61.76 million visits, closely trailing GMA Network’s 62.45 million.
During the same period, ABS-CBN registered 60.39 million visits, followed by Philstar.com with 39.76 million and Rappler with 34.31 million.
Since February 2022, Inquirer.net has been using Similarweb’s analytics services to gain market insights and guide its content strategy.
