Inquirer.net still most visited news site in August

Inquirer.net has retained its lead as the most visited news website in the Philippines in August 2025, according to web traffic analytics firm Similarweb.

Data showed the site logged 9.114 million visits for the month, ranking first among media outlets.

Its closest competitor, GMA Network, recorded 7.269 million visits, followed by ABS-CBN with 5.865 million, Philstar Online with 5.246 million, and Rappler with 3.823 million.

Beyond volume, Inquirer.net also led in unique visitors and visit duration, with readers spending the most time on the site compared with its rivals.

Overall visits

From January to August, Inquirer.net accumulated 70.87 million visits overall.

GMA Network had 69.72 million visits during that period, followed by ABS-CBN with 66.25 million, Philstar Online with 45.01 million, and Rappler with 38.13 million.

Its online performance placed Inquirer.net at the top of Similarweb’s global, country, and industry rankings among Philippine news organizations, both for August and year to date.

Inquirer.net has used Similarweb’s analytics services since February 2022 to track online traffic and guide content strategies.
