Lawmaker to refile bill extending PRC license validity

Reelected Bohol Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor on Thursday vowed to refile in the 20th Congress 27 bills on civil service and professional regulation passed on third reading by the House but which failed to gain traction in the Senate.
These include a bill extending to five from three years the validity of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license and another regulating the licensure and practice of physical therapy.
“The bills on professions and for professionals and civil servants are necessary to energize the economy,” Tutor said.
She led the campaign for the passage of the proposed measures as head of the House committee on civil service and professional regulation in the 19th Congress.
“Industries cannot attain progress without millions of professionals and civil servants doing the hard work, driving the engines of growth,” Tutor said.
