Leyte mayor files raps vs 7 Ormoc cops
Confessed drug lord and mayoralty bet Rolan “Kerwin” Espinosa of Albuera town, Leyte, has filed frustrated murder charges against the seven police officers who were considered “persons of interest” in the shooting incident that almost killed him on April 10.
Espinosa went to the Office of the Assistant Provincial Prosecutor in Baybay City, Leyte, on Thursday to file the complaint. He arrived under heavy security, wearing his campaign T-shirt and a cloth sling for the gunshot wound he sustained during the attack.
Espinosa believed that one of the police officers, whose identities were withheld pending further investigation, served as the gunman.
At least eight witnesses testified against the seven police officers assigned at the Ormoc City Police Office.
