Marcos appoints 30 to prosecutors’ posts
President Marcos has appointed 30 prosecutors, including a former assistant executive secretary of the late former President Benigno Aquino III, who will serve in regional, provincial and city prosecutor’s offices across the country.
The Presidential Communications Office on Saturday posted the list of new appointees to the Department of Justice’s National Prosecution Service.
Those designated as regional prosecutors with the rank of Prosecutor V are: Joy Marie Frances Cortes of the Office of the Regional Prosecutor (ORP) in Mimaropa; Graeme June Elmido of the ORP in Central Visayas; and Serafin Salazar of the ORP in Calabarzon.
Appointed as city prosecutors with the rank of Prosecutor IV are: Reynaldo Delantar Jr. of the Office of the City Prosecutor (OCP) in Roxas City; Julius Caesar Gaurano of the OCP in Calaca City; and James Verduguez of the OCP in Dipolog City.
Delantar served as assistant executive secretary during the Aquino administration. He was appointed as assistant city prosecutor with the rank of Prosecutor II in January 2022.
In addition, Warren Wesley Malalad was appointed as provincial prosecutor of the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor (OPP) in Occidental Mindoro with the rank of Prosecutor IV.
Doreen Dejarme of the OPP in Dinagat Islands; Glad Ompod-Gonzaga of the OPP in Surigao del Norte; and Mary Lou Putot of the OPP in Isabela City were named as deputy provincial prosecutors with the rank of Prosecutor III.
Maria Angelica Alonso-Obias of the OPP in Batangas; Joseri Cabanog of the OPP in Zamboanga del Norte; and Kristoffer Francis Jacob Concha of the OPP in Sultan Kudarat are now assistant provincial prosecutors with the rank of Prosecutor II.
Designated as assistant city prosecutors with the rank of Prosecutor II are: Julius Barcinas of the OCP in Naga City; Lyndon Escala of the OCP in Calbayog City; Ciena Mae Juyo of the OCP in Davao City;
Catherine Angela Maralit of the OCP in Santo Tomas City; Carlo Magno Reonal of the OCP in Antipolo City; and Eleuterio Pascual of the OCP in Trece Martires City.
Conrado Reyes Jr. of the OPP in Rizal and Janine Sarausos of the OPP in Surigao del Norte were named as associate provincial prosecutors with the rank of Prosecutor I.
Lastly, appointed as associate city prosecutors with the rank of Prosecutor I are: Manny Jay Ragsac of the OCP in Calamba City; Rea Jane Mendiratta of the OCP in Dumaguete City; Johanna Bagul of the OCP in Iligan City; Erika Collado of the OCP in San Pedro City; Kathleen Kaye Concha-Embol of the OCP in Dipolog City; Jovelyn Hernandez-Miraples of the OCP in Calapan City; Esteele Vanessa Ann Hiceta of the OCP in Santo Tomas City;
Kurt Chino Montero of the OCP in Butuan City; and Gavino Quibo Jr. of the OCP in Mati City.
