Marcos, first lady visit PH Pavilion at Osaka expo

OSAKA, JAPAN—President Marcos and first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Friday led a walk-through of the Philippine Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, highlighting Filipino creativity, innovation, and cultural pride on the global stage.
They were joined by Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines chief operating officer Marga Nograles, Ambassador Mylene Garcia-Albano, Consul General Voltaire Mauricio, Deputy Speaker Duke Frasco, and other Philippine government officials.
The first couple explored immersive features, such as the AI photobooth and “Dancing with Nature,” and witnessed a vibrant fashion and cultural showcase celebrating Filipino artistry and the enduring ties between the Philippines and Japan.
The pavilion, themed “Nature, Culture, and Community: Woven Together for a Better Future,” has welcomed 372,611 visitors as of June 19.
The Department of Tourism serves as chair and commissioner general of the Philippine Organizing Committee for Expo 2025 Osaka, by virtue of Administrative Order No. 7 signed by the President, with the TPB Philippines as secretary general.
