President Marcos said on Tuesday he was pleased with the improvements at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 3 as he expressed optimism that upcoming projects would help ease passenger flow and improve services for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and foreign travelers.
In a media statement after his inspection of the terminal, Mr. Marcos said he wanted to see for himself the upgrades at Naia since a private concessionaire, New Naia Infra Corp (NNIC), took over its operations.
“Everything is going to get better for the passengers, everything is going to get better for the employees, everything is going to get better for the government,” he said.
The President went around the airport, checking its newest facilities, including the immigration area, OFW immigration annex, lounge and rest area, as well as the transportation network vehicle services area and arrival curbside area.
According to Mr. Marcos, the airport modernization is aimed at improving the experience of Filipino and foreign travelers, while keeping current airport workers secure in their jobs.
