Marcos’ state visit to India set from Aug. 4 to Aug. 8

President Marcos will be in India for a five-day state visit from Aug. 4 to Aug. 8 to discuss with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials greater maritime cooperation between their countries to maintain peace and order in the Indo-Pacific region.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs said Mr. Marcos will meet with Modi, Indian President Droupadi Murmu and business leaders.
Accompanying the President are first lady Liza Araneta Marcos, several Cabinet members, other dignitaries and senior officials as well as business representatives.
The President will also have a meet and greet with the Filipino community in New Delhi. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was the last Philippine president to go on a state visit to India in 2007.
