Marcos urges Filipinos: Carry ‘light of Easter in our daily lives’

President Marcos on Sunday called on Filipinos to rise with “renewed purpose” and a “deep sense of responsibility for one another” as the country celebrates Easter Sunday.

In his message, Mr. Marcos said Easter symbolizes renewal and hope, urging the public to translate faith into action for the good of others.

“Today, I call on every Filipino to rise with renewed purpose, unyielding hope, and a deep sense of responsibility for one another,” he said.

The President stressed that building a stronger nation requires shared effort, noting that unity must be grounded in acts of kindness and service.

“As a people known for our resilience and deep faith, let us carry the light of Easter into our daily lives not only in words, but in action,” he said.

Mr. Marcos also encouraged Filipinos to choose compassion and generosity in their everyday lives, saying these values help strengthen communities.

He said that through collective resolve and a shared vision, “there is no challenge we cannot overcome.”
