Megaworld is most awarded developer at PH Property Awards

  • Philippine Property Awards’ first three-peat Best Developer dominated portfolio awards for offices, hotels, malls; named ‘Best Developer’ for Visayas
Team Megaworld punctuated their huge comeback at the Philippines Property Awards by racking up big wins, including a pair of inaugural ESG awards and a sweep of this year’s portfolio awards for the hospitality, office, and retail segments.

On the night it marked its comeback on the prestigious property awards tilt where it became the Philippines’ first-ever three-peat Best Developer, property giant Megaworld had another huge awards haul after bagging 35 awards at the 2024 Philippines Property Awards by PropertyGuru.

The company, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, was named the “Best Developer for Visayas,” highlighting the immense impact of its township developments in the region. The company was also hailed as the “Best Mixed Use Developer” and the “Best Hospitality Developer,” while its subsidiary company Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI) was named this year’s “Best Lifestyle Developer.”

Megaworld received the distinction of being this year’s “Best Mixed Use Developer” for continuing to build topnotch integrated developments in its various townships across the country.

 

The company bagged two ESG Awards, including the Energy Efficiency Award for championing measures to optimize energy use and promote energy consumption across its various developments. Receiving the award on behalf of the company was Noli D. Hernandez, executive vice president for sales and marketing, Megaworld.

 

Maple Grove Park Village, the company’s luxury resort-inspired residential development in General Trias, Cavite, bested other premier horizontal properties to be hailed as the Philippines’ “Best Housing Development.” Receiving the award was Eugene Lozano, senior vice president for sales and marketing, Megaworld Cavite.

 

Megaworld’s flagship lifestyle mall, Uptown Mall in Taguig City, took home the “Best Retail Development” award in the same evening. Graham Coates, head of Megaworld Lifestyles Malls, received the award.

 

Megaworld subsidiary Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI, the company behind some of country’s most distinguished tourism and lifestyle estates like Twin Lakes, Alabang West, and Boracay Newcoast, emerged as this year’s “Best Lifestyle Developer.”

The three-time Best Developer continued its dominant showing in the residential development categories by winning several coveted recognitions, including the “Best Condo Development” awards for Luzon and Visayas for Chelsea Parkplace (Pampanga) and Firenze Residences (Iloilo).

 

Megaworld stole the spotlight with its entire delegation bursting in jubilation every time the company’s name was called onstage.
