The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday assured the public of an immediate response to their road emergencies through its five-minute response hotline.

At a Palace briefing, MMDA General Manager Nicolas Torre III highlighted the reactivation and reformatting of Metrobase 136, which will respond to crises on major roads covered by the agency.

Motorists needing immediate assistance may dial (02) 136, and responders will arrive at their location within five minutes, he said.

“Our guarantee is that within five minutes, our constables or traffic enforcers will arrive wherever you need assistance—for example, if you’ve had a scratch or a collision, minor road accidents, if your vehicle has stalled, or if you have an emergency and need a response from the MMDA. Within five minutes, our traffic enforcers will be there,” Torre said.
