The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will be deploying 2,500 of its traffic personnel on Monday ahead of heavy traffic expected in Metro Manila.
Charlie Nosares of MMDA Metrobase said in a radio interview on Sunday that they have not monitored any traffic building despite the repair works on some parts of C-5 Road in Pasig City, and Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City.
The Department of Public Works and Highways started repair works in different roads in Metro Manila from 11 p.m. April 16 to 5 a.m. April 21.
Last year, hundreds of thousands of motorists were stuck in traffic when they were welcomed with unfinished road works at the start of the week post-Holy Week vacation period.
