North Korea launched several short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan on Wednesday, South Korea’s military said.
The missiles were fired at around 8:50 a.m. from the Wonsan area in the eastern part of the country and flew about 240 kilometers, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The military also said the same day that North Korea had launched a projectile on Tuesday from near Pyongyang, with analysis of details underway by South Korean and US intelligence authorities.
The projectile on Tuesday is believed to have been fired from either a multiple-launch rocket system or launched as a ballistic missile.
