AGRI TARIFF CUTS QUESTIONED
Sinag chair Rosendo So, legal counsel Virgie Lacsa Suarez, former Agriculture Secretary Leonardo Montemayor and Magsasaka Rep. Argel Cabatbat file a complaint at the Office of the Ombudsman in Quezon City on Wednesday against the Tariff Commission for grave misconduct and gross abuse of authority. They are mainly questioning the commission’s decision to cut the tariff on imported rice to 15 percent without first holding consultations or public hearings. —GRIG C. MONTEGRANDE
