Spotlight on graffiti art

An artist paints on a shipping container during the “Meeting of Styles: International Street Art and Graffiti.” The Manila leg of the street art festival, held at TLC Park in Taguig City, began on Friday and ends on Sunday. It was held in Thailand last month and its next stop is in the German city of Wiesbaden in June. The international festival is an opportunity for Filipino graffiti artists to present their talents and establish connections with fellow artists from abroad.

Regional plans

President Marcos holds a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday together with the Regional Development Councils (RDCs), the policymaking agencies in the regions tasked with pushing socioeconomic development. The RDCs reported to Mr. Marcos their respective development plans for their inclusion in the national budget for the next two years.

Water supply at the reservoir, a popular tourist spot, has been affected by the El Niño phenomenon and its relentless heat throughout the country. But the heat index in Rizal that week was at a relatively tolerable 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.

An overturned car on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City is cordoned off by police on the morning of April 30, amid the already heavy traffic right before Labor Day. Police said the driver fell asleep, which caused his vehicle to hit a post along the wall of MRT Line 7 before turning upside down.
