PCO bans all gadgets at 2026 budget signing

Malacañang reporters decided not to do a live coverage of the President’s signing of the 2026 national budget into law on Monday.
Instead, they monitored the event via livestream after the Palace asked all guests, including legislators, to surrender their electronic gadgets, particularly cell phones.
No explanation was given by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), which implemented the policy.
The Inquirer also sent a message to PCO Secretary Dave Gomez, but has yet to receive a reply as of this writing.
