The Australian Embassy in the Philippines is turning up the heat this June with the Philippines-Australia Friendship Festival – a vibrant two-day celebration of culture, lifestyle and friendship happening at the Glorietta Activity Center on June 7 and 8.

“We’re thrilled to hold this year’s Festival in the heart of style and business in the Philippines – Makati – thanks to Ayala Malls, Ayala Corporation and ACEN,” said Australian Ambassador to the Philippines HK Yu. “Each year, we bring the Friendship Festival to different parts of the Philippines to celebrate the strong ties between our two countries.”

Festivalgoers can enjoy Australian-made food and drinks, access exclusive travel promos from Qantas Airlines, and discover unique products made by Australian-educated Filipino entrepreneurs.

Education remains a cornerstone of this relationship, with around 40,000 Filipino students studying in Australia. Festival attendees can explore study pathways, scholarships, and career opportunities through booths and talks led by Australian universities and institutions, including the University of Adelaide.

Hosted by beloved TV personalities Drew Arellano and Filipino-Australian star Iya Villania, the opening program will celebrate the exciting eight-month journey of Anko – an Australian home and lifestyle brand – in the Philippines. Highlights include the successful openings in Glorietta and Alabang, the partnership with brand ambassador Anne Curtis, and the launch of Anko Club, its first-event loyalty program designed to reward and connect with Filipino shoppers.

The Festival will wrap-up with a free concert by all-female P-Pop group, G22, featuring Fil-Aussie member Jasmine Henry.

Two lucky shoppers will also win round-trip tickets to Australia – with destination options including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Adelaide, courtesy of Qantas.

The Festival celebrates the longstanding connection between Australia and the Philippines – from the Manila Men of the 1800s to today’s vibrant community of over 400,000 Filipinos living in Australia.

“The Friendship Festival is only possible with the strong support of Australian business investing in the Philippines,” said Ambassador Yu. “Firms such as Anko, AMS Global, Macquarie, Sekuro, ANZ Bank, GHD, Leighton, Macquarie, OceanaGold, Qantas, SMEC, Telstra, and many more are helping deepen our ties and supporting local jobs – a testament to the talent and potential of Filipinos.”

The Philippines-Australia Friendship Festival is a celebration of shared values, culture, and the powerful connections between people — a weekend of fun, learning, and community not to be missed!
