PNP announces 14 new reassigments as part of reorganization

Philippine National Police chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III announced on Sunday 14 new reassignments, effective July 21, as part of his supposed “reorganization” of the 218,000-strong agency.
In an order dated July 18 and made public on Sunday, Torre designated Brig. Gen. Erickson Dilaga as Cordillera regional police chief, Brig. Gen. Ronald Gayo as chief of Firearms and Explosive Office and Brig. Gen. Rogelio Raymundo Jr. as Central Luzon deputy regional director.
The PNP announcement also included the reassignment, effective July 17, of 11 police colonels, but did not specify whether they were transferred due to the end of their usual tours or other reasons.
Reassigned colonels
Col. Arvin Alcantara was transferred to Directorate for Plans; Col. Richard Bad-Ang from Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to the Calabarzon regional police office, Col. Harold Depositar from the planning office to the PNP Academy; Col. Jay Dimaandal to the Negros regional police office; Col. Wilson Doromal to the PNP chief’s office; Col. Frederick Obar to planning office; Col. Ariel Red to the Calabarzon regional office; Col. Nelvin Ricohermoso to Northern Mindanao regional office; Col. Julius Suriben to the logistics office; Col. Alikhan Yusop to the Directorate for Police Community Relations; and Col. Michael Rae Tuscano to the Central Visayas regional office.
Some, but not all, of the colonels were tagged in minor controversies, but their identities were withheld because the Inquirer failed to verify at press time the status of the incidents or whether cases were actually filed against them.
