Pet owners who may have been defrauded by a pet crematorium in Bacoor, Cavite, have been urged by the police to file formal complaints after 25 animal remains were found dumped in a vacant lot in Bulacan.
“Any form of deception that exploits the trust of grieving pet owners is deeply concerning and must be addressed with the full force of the law,” Philippine National Police chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a statement on Tuesday.
“We will not tolerate acts that victimize the public and undermine the trust that should exist between service providers and the communities they serve,” added
Nartatez, who directed police units in both provinces to coordinate with other agencies to identify those who dumped the animals’ bodies.
