Quiboloy, coaccused to appear before Senate

Avatar

Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy and his five coaccused were expected to attend a Senate hearing on Wednesday on the alleged abuses they committed against members of the religious sect.

This was after presiding Judge Rainelda Estacio-Montesa of the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 159 granted the request of Sen. Risa Hontiveros, the chair of the Senate committee conducting the inquiry, for Quiboloy, Ingrid Canada, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Jackielyn Roy and Sylvia Cemañes to attend the hearing.

Senate President Francis Escudero told reporters on Tuesday that security measures were already in place for the appearance of the KOJC leader and his coaccused.
