TUGUEGARAO CITY—The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in the island municipality of Calayan, Cagayan, has recovered what is believed to be rocket debris along the coastline of Barangay Babuyan Claro on Thursday.
Coast Guard personnel found the floating debris at around 12:30 p.m. after receiving a report from a resident.
Authorities said the recovered object bore no visible markings that could immediately identify its origin.
Pending an official assessment by experts, the PCG has taken custody of the debris and secured the fragments at its station for safekeeping and further examination.
