Salceda back in Malacañang as PLLO chief
President Marcos has designated former Albay Rep. Joey Salceda as chief of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), with the rank of secretary.
Malacañang confirmed Salcedo’s appointment on Tuesday, more than a month after the veteran Bicolano lawmaker hinted at “taking a very high position in the administration.”
As the new PLLO head, Salceda shall serve as the conduit between Mr. Marcos and Congress, tasked primarily with monitoring the progress and eventual passage of priority bills.
He returns to the Palace almost two decades after he was appointed Presidential Chief of Staff in 2007 by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Salceda thanked Mr. Marcos for his trust and confidence, as well as Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, his long-time colleague in the House, for his guidance.
