Stuck Cebu Pacific plane delays 13 flights

Avatar

A Cebu Pacific aircraft was stuck for several hours at the taxiway of Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Friday, causing at least 13 international flights to be delayed. The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said the aircraft, an Airbus A321neo, swerved off taxiway G13 while being repositioned early in the morning by a towing vehicle from Bay 111 to Bay 122A at Terminal 3. Photos released by the agency showed the plane’s left landing gear stuck in the muddy grass lot. The MIAA aircraft recovery team and Cebu Pacific ground personnel extricated the plane from the taxiway at around 1:55 p.m. There were no passengers or crew onboard at the time of the incident.

MMDA opens Roxas Boulevard promenade, park

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Thursday night opened the finished segments of a promenade and light park along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City. MMDA acting Chair Romando Artes led the inauguration of the first two segments of the Roxas Boulevard Promenade Light Park. Area 1 or the field offices will house satellite offices of MMDA and the lot owner Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) to ensure proper management, operations and maintenance of the promenade. Adjacent to the satellite offices is Area 2, or the light park, which features various lighting installations. Funds for the park were provided by Department of Budget and Management (DBM) through the “Green, Green, Green” Program. The park is a joint project of the MMDA, DBM, PRA, the Pasay City local government and private partner Federal Land Inc., which also led the groundbreaking rite for the remaining segments.
