Upgraded Antique airport seen to boost tourism

ILOILO CITY—President Marcos on Monday inaugurated the new passenger terminal building of the Antique airport in San Jose de Buenavista, aiming to boost arrivals in the province.

The 2,224-square-meter (sq m) terminal, up from 181 sq m, now has six check-in counters and can accommodate 360 passengers, up from 64.

Upgrades include baggage handling, flight information systems and a runway extended to 1,800 meters.

New facilities also feature a seven-story control tower, apron, taxiway, administrative building, fire station and power house.
