The United States donated P25 million worth of learning materials to the Philippines to support local efforts to uplift out of school youths.

The US Embassy in Manila said on Friday that the US Agency for International Development donated over 200,000 learning materials during the USAID Opportunity 2.0 Youth and Partners Summit in Quezon City.

The event gathered around 500 youth development champions and organizations from different parts of the country.“ USAID is proud to empower out-of-school youth by helping them acquire the skills and training needed to find good jobs and begin building careers,”

USAID Philippines mission director Ryan Washburn said. The educational resources include training modules, entrepreneurship guidebooks, and teachers’ manuals. It is  expected to benefit programs of the Department of Education, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Department of Trade and Industry, according to the embassy.
