JAKARTA—President Joko Widodo has suspended the chief of Indonesia’s antigraft agency, his aide said on Saturday, following an accusation of extortion in an investigation that has ensnared a former minister. The step came after police this week named the official, Firli Bahuri, as a suspect accused of extorting money from former agriculture minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo, who was detained in a corruption case last month. The suspension took immediate effect on Friday. Police said authorities had confiscated foreign currency transaction documents from Singapore and 7.4 billion rupiah ($480,000) worth of US currency in two raids relating to the case against him. —REUTERS
