Independence of the Supreme Court

Letters

Independence of the United States Supreme Court justices is a given. They have always been independent enough to vote along partisan lines, regrettably.

Liberal justices like Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson will never concur in favor of cases involving United States President Donald Trump.

Which makes you think: Why are new US justices chosen initially because they are legal luminaries in the community, but finally because of their political affiliations?

So many justices, so many contending opinions.

Makes you wonder why many among them think differently and then realize because some just hate the President.

So what is good about independence when politics creeps in eventually?
