Time for another wholesale reorganization of the Philippine bureaucracy (last time was under President Cory Aquino in 1986, and before that in 1971, under President Marcos Sr.) to reduce bloat and streamline the bureaucratic machinery.
Good Governance
Why bureaucracies struggle: no one taking responsibility, lots of corruption, too much paperwork, doing the same job twice, rules that don’t budge, and other problems.
What happens when bureaucracies mess up: wasting stuff we need, not-so-great service, people being unhappy, losing trust, and more bad stuff.
