Talk of the Town: A long-overdue airport
Comments on “A long-overdue airport,” (Editorial, 7/1/24) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:
It’s high time we had a centralized airport instead of three separate terminals which adds more to the traffic in the area. However, the government must take note that a mass transport system and road infrastructure is also a must to make it easily accessible to passengers. Another option is to explore expanding the current Clark airport. What Clark needs is a mass transport system and maybe modernized facilities.

The success of the ecozones rests on investments, while this, in turn, rests on a country where there is good governance, rule of law, and highly educated workers, three conditions still in a work-in-progress stage. Investors are the elite in strategy and intelligence and convincing them needs a high dose of needed realities on the ground. The government has a lot of catching up to do!

Our government is a mess. If not for the private sector it’s just a breathing liability and that’s putting it lightly.
