Statistics can be easily manipulated and skewed to produce a desired or paid outcome. No authoritative scrutiny whatsoever on the sampling method and the participants.

If not to “feel the pulse” and if not to “influence,” what other purpose is there for this type of survey? Why don’t we just wait for the result of an election? Surveys on socioeconomic issues, yes, but on politics, I think surveys are doing more harm than good.
