Moral numbness, loss or lack of concern with what is right or wrong, proper conduct. Sa wikang Pilipino, manhid sa moralidad; isama na katotohanan—manhid din sa katotohanan (truth). Thus, it makes sense to have a “Truth Commission,” but not reconciliation.

To fight this, we must consciously resensitize ourselves. We must actively remember the victims—not as statistics, but as people. We must reject the hollow “nanlaban” narrative and demand accountability for that original sin.
