CORRUPTION, in my personal view, in the flood control mess in the DPWH, is all about PATRONAGE POLITICS that has to stop for our country to have a brighter future especially of the younger generation.

I can understand why Aquino did not push too hard after the 1987 Constitution came into effect … but the trouble that not pushing the antidynasty provisions then has just about wrecked this country!!!

The issue isn’t simply the presence of families in public service. Throughout history, capable leaders have come from long lines of public servants. The real test of a democracy is whether it has built a system of strong, independent institutions, a rule of law that holds everyone accountable.
