The country has been affected by external shocks greatly because it’s been deindustrializing for the past four decades, and that’s because it’s been following the wrong economic policies throughout.

As one philosopher puts it; “Men and nations will act rationally when all other options had been exhausted.” As of now, we have not reach that stage yet based on the pronouncement of the lunatic leaders of the world.
