Comments on “Build better more: Evacuation centers,” (Editorial, 7/29/24) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:
If the Filipinos were not deprived of the nation’s wealth, few would be living in vulnerable places and dwellings. Now dedicated evacuation centers are being proposed for the increasing number of displaced vulnerable just because they can’t afford to build more appropriate dwellings. Long term, the emphasis should be better economy by better governance.

Been on yearly flooding storms and it’s a given then, politicians dig on new promises and statements on issue without clear defined action for long-term use … such a waste of tax money.

Hindi bibinta ‘yon kasi hindi masyadong malaki ang komisyon. Ang preference ay road reblocking, flood control, drainage, at irrigation canals.
