Comments on “Can money buy happiness?” (Safe Space by Anna Cristina Tuazon, 11/14/24) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:

Would a Filipino family of five be able to meet basic needs with an income of 15,000 pesos a month? Consider basic needs as those things needed to live as long as one can reasonably can with the least amount of suffering. Some say that a family needs to earn at least a thousand pesos a day, or the living wage, to attain them, or 30,000 a month. That’s said to be the average income, but what about the families that don’t earn that amount?

Monk Manuel

Yes, money can buy happiness. But money can also be the root of all evils.

Mr. Go

Money may not buy happiness but it makes the pain bearable.

Just enough to hurdle our subsistence level and just enough to be decent and comfortable. Anything in excess, challenge yourself to earn 10 to 20% (legal) passive income.
