Yes, it’s high time to rein in real estate greed. With farmlands gone, importation has become a norm—an abnormality that drains money out of the country, if real estate people think of the consequences. Affordable but quality living does NOT have to be a house and lot. Metropolises will gain from urban areas redeveloped for more people but less traffic and pollution re: better tax collection.

At some point, more will realize that mechanized agriculture will be needed to obtain more food, and that also means more ecological damage. Meanwhile, many will not want to go into farming, and instead go into manufacturing and service industries which also use a lot of resources to earn more.
