Comment on “Dear Jorge,” (Question the Box by Inez Ponce de Leon, 4/23/25) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:
His “humanitarian” acts like climate change advocacy, LGBTQ rights, and other liberal views are perhaps results of his initial training in the sciences. Also, the Vatican has long maintained a Pontifical Academy of the Sciences staffed with leading scientists of the day including Nobel Prize winners in the sciences. Obviously, Pope Francis heeded their scientific findings.
