Go to the basics. Unlike bicycles, e-bikes have motors, occupy space, and cannot be considered in that class. And so, e-bikes must be registered with LTO before they can travel on roads, but never on major highways.

Stephen Ortega

The LTO should make a decision about this, that e-bikes/e-trikes should not be allowed to pass on all streets because they only add to the congestion and slow down the flow of vehicles.

The situation of our public roads worsens further and further without any improvement, such as road widening. Bike lanes or e-bike/e-trike lanes are not the solution.
