Talk of the Town: Government is not a family

No right thinking Filipino will disagree with Professor David’s column. The ultimate but unspoken conclusion of this column is that no politician is above the law. In practice this means, in the case of VP Sara, pursuing promptly and vigorously, and without fear or favor, impeachment charges for which she is liable because of her misuse of confidential funds and her assassination threats against President BBM and others … All well and good, but is this realistic under current political conditions? This is where good theory of good governance varies from actual practice.
